Cold heading is a metal forging process which involves rapidly punching a blank into a die to form a desired shape without adding heat. Cold heading is most frequently used to produce fasteners such as bolts and screws.

Why do I need a filtration system?

This rapid cold forging service can generate heavy amounts of smoke. In addition, lubricant added to the process become airborne fume during the process. Without proper air filtration, this cloud of fume and smoke is a health hazard to employees, soils the facility, machines and finished products and can be disruptive to other services such as painting or plating.

Die Casting instruction: 

Die casting is a precision casting method that uses high pressure to force molten metal into a metal mold with complex shapes. During the die casting process, lubricant is used for mold release, and the mold release agent is heated and volatilized by the high-temperature solution to form an oil fume suspended over the workshop. Due to the obvious pollution, it is easy to attract the attention of environmental protection departments, there is a risk of shutdown and production, and it will make it more difficult for factories to recruit workers. Fugitive contaminants can also affect equipment longevity and performance and present a fire hazard.

In the normal production of the die-casting machine, every time the mold release agent is sprayed, because the mold is in a high temperature state, the mold release agent will be gasified immediately, and a large amount of smoke will be generated, and the gas will diffuse into the workshop. Due to the high spray pressure, a large amount of mold release agent will splash randomly around the die casting machine after hitting the mold.

Our solution is to install a fume collection hood above the machine that can be automatically linked with the die-casting machine. The fume and oil fume collection cover is moved by electrical control, and is moved to open when the mold is replaced, and is closed during normal casting. The shape and size of the collection hood will be designed according to the model of the die-casting machine and the layout of the workshop.

Our fume hoods are installed directly above cold heading and die casting machines. Due to its large size, it will hinder the process of changing molds on the road, so our collection hood adopts a split structure.

In the actual use process, just press the corresponding control key to open or close the collection cover, so as to achieve the purpose of not hindering the replacement and maintenance of the die casting machine.

Since our collection system is close to the pollution source, the oil fume generated during the die-casting process can be limited to a fixed space, so that the oil fume does not diffuse, and as much as possible is adsorbed by the oil fume purification equipment to achieve the purpose of purification.
