Oil mist purifier selection instructions

When many customers call for consultation, they are eager to know what kind of oil mist purifier is suitable for their factory workshop. In order to provide you with more targeted solutions and products suitable for you, our engineers usually need to understand the following information before selecting models.

First, what type of coolant are you using in your machining process.

In general, common coolants include pure oil, graphite oil (such as for hot bar stamping), emulsion, oil-water mixture, etc. The composition of oil mist produced by each coolant is different.

In addition, knowing whether blue fumes will form during processing is also critical to our system design. This blue smoke (or white) is generally caused by high temperature processing and is common in quenching, furnace, casting and other processing processes.

Second, what is your machining type?

Common processing types such as turning, hot rolling, cutting, die casting, grinding, stamping, drilling, heat treatment, etc., each processing type has different processing ambient temperatures and produces different oil mist characteristics.

Third, what is the spindle speed?

High spindle speeds and pump pressures usually generate more oil mist or fumes.

Fourth, what material are you processing?

The material of the raw material will affect the self-cleaning interval of the filter element. Common raw material materials such as steel, cast iron, ductile iron, red copper, brass, aluminum, plastic, etc.

Fifth, what type of machine tool are you using?

There are many types of machine tools. Common machine tools that need to be equipped with oil mist purifiers are CNC lathes, multi-machine operation machines, CNC gear hobbing machines, computer numerical control grinders, single-axis gear hobbing machines, six-axis gear hobbing machines, EDM machines, gear cutting machines, stamping, planers, etc. .

Sixth, the space volume of your processing area.

In order to calculate the load size of the oil mist purifier, the area of the processing area, the size of the opening and the sealing condition are all important.

Seventh, your machine working hours.

The length of processing time is very important to the filter self-cleaning interval.

Eighth, do you need an independent filter unit or a central system serving multiple machines?

When many customers call, they do not know whether they need a one-to-one stand-alone filtering device or a one-to-many centralized filtering system. We can issue a specific solution for you.

If you don't have enough space in your workshop, or you have a lot of new machines to be installed at the same time, a centralized purification system may be a more suitable solution. The central filter has a larger filter area, so the service life of the filter element will be relatively longer. If you can provide production drawings or machine layout, and list the distance from filter to machine and the machine connected to the farthest filter, it will be very helpful for us to make a reasonable system design.

Ninth, the flow of waste liquid produced.

The oil mist purifier collects and filters the oil mist, which will generate waste liquid. How to deal with the waste liquid needs to be planned in the system plan in advance, so as not to affect your subsequent production and operation. There are generally 3 design options: return to the machine, flow through the filter to the sump, or collect into the central system.
